Let’s begin with politics.

Well, Politics is a topic that needs many patriots to join in the discussion. So with my blog, I will contribute my words and throw them out into the political discussion blog-world. My opinions only. There is no real science in Political Science, or is there? Agree or disagree with my words, but please let me know how you “feel” about my words. 🙂

“I like good strong words that mean something…” ― Louisa May Alcott, Little Women. (More about words in future blog entries.)

I am a reformed liberal and put myself in the moderate conservative category. I am still evolving. We all are, right? The old saying: “If you’re not a liberal at twenty you have no heart, if you’re not a conservative at forty, you have no brain.” I believe this saying is true for me. I was a liberal/Democrat for my first 25 years of voting and have been a strong conservative/Republican/Tea Party person for the last 20 years. I was evolving. I always considered my choices carefully each election. I still do.

What do you think about Donald Trump’s first 10 months? I will admit I liked Trump all the way through his campaign to become President. There were other candidates on the Republican side I liked too. But, when Donald Trump came down the escalator and declared his candidacy for President of the United States, I heard him say he’d build a wall, and create jobs. I believed he would be a person who just might accomplish those two things. Good enough for me! That’s when he moved to the top of my list of Republican candidates for President! I like that he was NOT from the same mold as the career politicians in our House and Senate. He’s a successful businessman, so I believed he would actually know how the business world works, and that’s a 100% better base of knowledge that what Obama worked from. Trump can build a huge building in months. What did Obama accomplish in 8 YEARS? The country went backward, became less safe, under his administration. There was no way I would EVER vote for Hillary Clinton. The democrats fixed her nomination anyway, so we didn’t even have time to see other possible candidates. Bernie Sanders is too socialistic for me. I love my freedom too much to vote for someone who would have me give it up. I am, as always, sharing my opinion.
